I'm selling my unfinished Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Pro-Touring.(located in FRANCE near PARIS) It's a real 1979 Bandit Special Edition Y84, with Camel Tan Hobnail interior and aT-Top. General condition is relatively good, interior need refurbishing, few small things to do all around, but mainly: engine needs to be opened and checked. Here is what has been done already on the car: -20" Boyd Coddington Smoothie II + tires fitted (about 3000€ bills). - Full Brake system overhaul. Except brake booster, all parts were changed (including all hardlines, master cylinder etc...): Chevrolet Corvette C5 Kore3 big brake kit with parking brake option). about 3000€ bills. (killer braking!) -Full rear end overhaul with new 3.42 LSD + heavy duty rear axles About 1500€ bills. -Dashboard bezel restored by Randy Combs (US specialist) fitted with Auto-Meter Ultralite Carbon gauge set (about 1000€ bills) I'll provide original Gold bezel with Pontiac gauges. Done by previous owner: (I drove less than 5000kms since I bought this car) -Lowered suspension + New Leaf springs. -TH350 overhaul + torque convertor change. -Pontiac 428 engine block overbored in 440 (7.2L), by a Pontiac specialist (less than 20 000km). Street cam, Edelbrock inlet manifold, Pontiac #62 1969 Hi Comp heads, fonctionnal shaker, 4/1 collectors etc... Crazy sound with Cherry Bomb pipes! Very powerfull (about 350hp) car is running 1/4 mile in 13.8s with 20" rims (but should be able to do much better with 17" slicks). Unfortunately, I had an issue during my last run (some white smoke came out from the shaker). Engine is still running but must be checked. (Might be a piston damage, and maybe a rod bearing). I don't have the way to fix this, and that's the reason I'm selling this car. A lot of money has been spent already on quality parts (nearly 9000€ bills!) I'm asking 16000£ for the car. This is a good bargain at this price if you are able to fix the engine and finish this Pro-Touring project. You won't see very often this kind of car for sale in Europe, especialy at this price.
